Getting Started
To get started, call CHWS at 253.879.1555 and ask to schedule an R&R (recommendation and referral) appointment, or stop by the front desk. The scheduler will work with you to find the next available appointment.
- Prior to the appointment, you will fill out an online form with basic information about yourself. This form will be sent through your CHWS communication portal.
- During the appointment, the counselor will do an initial consultation with you to determine next steps to best meet your needs.
- After the appointment, the counselor may advise individual counseling, group counseling, online counseling through Uwill, or an off-campus referral depending on your needs.
If you are seeking an off-campus counselor, please utilize the Welltrack database to search for a counselor who meets your needs, or you may request a referral list by emailing chws@pugetsound.edu or stopping by the front desk.
